It might have something to do with the height of the headlight off of the ground. Maybe GM is moving their truck light designs into a safer area.

With the lights lower, they will have less of a chance to blind a driver when the truck is following.

I know I hate when a truck is behind me because their #### lights are too high and fill all 3 mirrors and blind me.

Updated pic, I smoothed out the front bumper. Not the best I've done on a bumper, but it suffices.
