mrtjet Posted December 2, 2014 Posted December 2, 2014 I have heard so many different ways to reset the computer after fixing problems that trip the check engine light. From disconnecting the battery for x amount of time, to all sorts of things. I am guessing that an obd tester is the one and only way to do it. And by the way this forum is outstanding and so is my 2008 Silvy v6.
00Silverado4x4 Posted December 3, 2014 Posted December 3, 2014 The easiest way is to disconnect battery but to be sure I'd take it to a place with a scanner that can clear codes like auto parts store or a shop/dealer. Also glad you like it here.
