Suspension lift

1st this is my first post I hope it's in the right area. My truck rear driver side shock is sagging it's 1/2" shorter than the passenger side. So I figured it's time for a small lift. There is a 3" or so lift on rough country. Com one lift is the shocks and blocks for $200+ the other lift is same plus upper control arms. For over $400 is it worth it/ important to get the new control arms??

What year? The control arm upgrade relieves some of the pressure put on that upper ball joint. I would recommened the Upper Control Arm (UCA) kit over the non UCA kit but you probably cant go wrong with either one and you can always add RCX or Zone UCAs in the future.

It's an 09.

I think because I have to lift it now because my rear shock is done I'll go with the cheaper quicker solution. And later I'll get the upper control arms.

What size tire are you wanting to run? That 3.5 on stock tires will look funny until you put bigger tires on it.

The truck came with a 3" body lift. I have 35" tires already on it they barely clear.

Unless you want your ucas riding the stops with that kit, you need new arms. Or you can just cut off your droop stops like RC often recommends. Do yourself a favor and buy a quality suspension lift.

Those are the 2 set ups I was looking at. But I'm still at a loss exactly what I need

This is my truck as it sits right now. Keep in mind I'm sagging back left shock half an inch. I want to get it taken care of asap. But I don't want to put money towards a stock shock. I'd rather lift it.

But I think I just realized the lifts I am looking at only give me a new u bolt an blocks those shocks are for the front?

Those are rear shocks, and crappy ones at that. RC doesn't provide front struts.

What's a brand or set up you recommend? I'm open to anything I just don't want to go more than 3 or 4"

Agreed... Ive heard alot of good things about the Zone 4 inch. Zone is made my BDS at much more affordable price.
