Rancho or Bilstein

It says it on ranchos site when u go look at the exclusions on the side. Says something like z71 equipped vehicles will not see lift or something. I don't get it either can't be right.

I ordered a set though anyway. I'll post when I get them. I was driving with my level kit today and the wife even commented it rides rough so that's the end of that!

Local shop that did my wheels/tires put a rc 3.5 lift/level kit on my truck, rides pretty harsh over speed bumps, will these shocks solve that issue, or are they not compatible with the 3½ kit?

Mine rides like a cement truck aswell. I only went 2 inch so I can imagine urs is much worse at that high. I feel ur pain!

Mine fit perfect and gave it a full 2" lift. The nice thing is they are adjustable, if it's too stiff or too soft you can just turn the wheels all the way to one side and reach in and turn the dial! I think you will like them. Even on a stiffer setting mine still ride better than the factory Z71 struts.

Where did you read the Rancho claims NO lift on a Z71? All I can see is that it says on their web site it levels and lifts late model vehicles. I installed them and it lifted it a lot. The front and rear wheelwells are exactly the same now.

What about the fact it has the electronic steering and is z71 with aluminum arms. I read on rancho that they wouldn't work, however that makes no sense to me. Thanks for the help

That doesn't matter for this application. It's exactly like the stock one......just taller. From what I heard a while back was Rancho said they wouldn't fit because they were under the impression the inner fender well liner was different on a Z71, which we all know it isn't. Now that is just hear say, so who knows why they initially said it won't fit. Anyway, I can assure you it fits perfectly. In fact, it took me longer to get all my tools out and crap than it did to actually change out the struts!

Right on, who has the best prices on these and which rear strut do I need. I cancelled my Mcgaughy 4" because I figured I would save a few with mpg staying a little lower and not having to cut my crossmember.

I'm going to defer you to Fuse36 for the part numbers. :) On the price, a lot of places will have them for around $350 for the pair from what I found, I couldn't really find them much cheaper than that with shipping included.

Ordered from amazon referencing part numbers from eBay and landed for 535 shipped for all four. Hope that's a solid price for these and they do what I want them to do

awesome thank you. that puts me at ease.

I ordered off amazon aswell. im in Canada though, but total with shipping was 600 and change. if it fixes my ride problems I will be happy. just more pissed I went with a level kit first. Probably should have done more research!

im looking forward to getting these in. do you have some pictures?

My rancho quicklift is over 2" of lift and love the rs9000xl in the rear. The best shocks I've ever owned. Also love the adjustable ride. Really makes a difference

Did the rs9000xl lift the rear at all?
