Also, I notice when my truck starts up the screen refers to GMC IntelliLink. Is that different from the MyLink? Am I screwed?

This is a 2014 GMC Sierra SLT

My wife's 2014 gmc terrain had the intellilink system, and it had texting and the nav system was a lot more intuitive. When gm bought it back because it was an unreliable pos and we got the high country, I "assumed" the HID would be the same.

 

Was even more surprised that on a vehicle that cost 30k more, a stand alone nav was an OPTION. On a high trim model no less...

It's the same thing essentially. GMC has their name for it, Chevy has theirs.
