IPOD NANO USB Connection playing 1.5 sec of different song between alb

I had an IPOD Classic connected to my 2014 Silverado by USB and questioned GM why it would not play a genre of songs but broke it down per artists and would only play the artist's song in that genre. Couldn't play all Christmas if wanted to. They said it was older technology and needed a newer version/firmware on the IPOD. My wife bought me a new IPOD NANO for Christmas. I loaded albums from ITunes and when I play an album from the truck browser after each song it will play about 2 seconds of another song from another album. I took it to the dealer and they heard it and opened a ticket with GM but have not heard back.Example: play a Beatles album..after each song it will play a 2 second snippet from a different album such as Van Halen and will be different between each song and artist. Any ideas? My Classic didn't do this and if I listen to the IPOD through headphones it doesn't do it either.

Try to restore and upgrade the firmware. If not have dealer update the radio firmware
