tinted windows, step bars, and more

Hey guys...just wanted to catch you up on my progress as I'm slowly making my truck look a little more like me. I posted an intro earlier so my apologies if you've seen this info already.

I purchased my 2014 Summit White Silverado LT back in December. Here it is during my test drive:

Bone stock and pretty boring. I've never had a white vehicle but I've always admired how clean they can look when appropriately and tastefully customized. The first thing I did after buying it was have the windows tinted. 15% on the sides, 5% on the back, 50% on the windshield, and 5% strip across the front:

I also added a folding Tonneau cover. I was torn on whether to get a roll-up or tri-fold, but ultimately chose an Ionic trifold based on reviews and lifetime warranty on the canvas. You can kinda see it here:

Then a few weeks ago I added chrome step bars - for the pretty lady. My lovely wife had occasional back pain from an accident and subsequesnt surgery a few years ago...perfect excuse for a little touch of chrome. These are 4" round bars:

Just last week I installed a motofab 2.5" leveling kit for the front in advance of new wheels and tires. The motofab install was pretty straight forward and took my about two and a half hours to install upper strut mount spacers in my garage without help. A second set of hands would have been nice a couple of times but I handled it. Hindsight is always 20/20, but I should have bought the lower strut mount spacers instead. Here is how it sits today:

That pretty much catches me up. Wheels and tires are on order and should be installed next weekend. I've got plans to switch out the door handles and mirror caps for body matched Summit White ones soon as well...then after that??

I've ordered chrome Strada Offroad Monsters in 20x9 +0 offset and 275/60R20 Hankook ATM tires. I'm kinda second guessing myself on the tires but we'll see. If I hate them, I've got a friend at a tire store that will swap them out for me for not too much. I really wanted 285/55s but they're so freaking expensive. I was close to buying 305/50s but decided they wouldn't be tall enough.

Like I said...if I hate them, I'll trade them.
