GM rebates/incentives

I have a 2015 Sierra Denali on order and it is at 4000 which is available to ship. My question is where can I see what rebates are available? I have gone to gms website and it shows nothing for sierra denali but then I go to Laura GMC website which states there is a 1500 trade assist and 1000 gm loyality if you own another gmc which I do. But none of this is listed on the gmc site

This has been the case since I ordered it, the gm site doesn't really say anything I would just check Laura to see what was available for that month. Am I looking at the right place? Or is this stuff just advertised at the dealer?

Price includes Laura's Discount, $1500 GM Down Payment Assistance and $1000 Laura Trade Assist. IN ADDITION TO THE PRICE LISTED THERE IS $1000 GM LOYALTY INCENTIVE AVAILABLE TO CURRENT OWNERS/LESSEES OF A 1999 OR NEWER BUICK, GMC, CHEVROLET, CADILLAC, SATURN, HUMMER, PONTIAC OR OLDSMOBILE- THIS $1000 COMES OFF THE PRICE ADVERTISED

I think the rebates and web site this month are confusing in "Truck Month". Have been looking at a 2014 Silverado which can come with up to $8000 in discounts, but that only applies to certain models in stock the longest - you can't tell which specific trucks it applies to. I know this is not helping to answer your question, but the web site is not very good this month. I went to the GMC truck site and don't see anything really for the 2015 Denali.

The incentives don't appear to be very good this month, aside from the GM card topoff. I thought, in the past, that February was one of the best months for incentives? Maybe March will be better? My truck is scheduled to be built next week. It'll be on the bubble of arriving late Feb. At what point do the dealers become aware of the next month's available incentives?

I think the dealers only know a day or so in advance, depending on what day of the week the current incentives end (usually on a Monday). Did you get a top-off offer on the GM Card - how much was it?

On a newer model you can typically expect less of a rebate and incentives. It also gets tricky as rebates expire. Sometimes whats offered at time of order vs delivery can be different as well. Lots of times GM/dealer will honor whats promised at order if its less than whats avilable at delivery.

One weird thing is the truck I have now I leased it but ordered from the factory, they couldnt guarentee the lease rate 6 weeks out, which was kind of weird.

I purchased on Monday of this week (2/2). Was waiting to see if the incentives were any better this month than last. They are the exact same, $3,500 total (that's with the GM loyalty cash of $1,000). That's on a fully loaded 2015 SLT Z71 that was in stock 1 day (they just rolled it off the truck!). MSRP $52,860, dealer price $47,900 - $3.500 incentives = $44,400 + dealer installed spray-in bedliner (+$400) = $44,800 +TTL. That's a total discount of $8,460. I think that's a fair deal.

If you are a USAA member you get a little more, ($100 - $500), or if you are a Farm Bureau member you get another $500. It's worth joining the Farm Bureau (anyone can join) for the $40 - $50 bucks to get the additional $500 rebate. It may not work in conjunction with the GM Loyalty Cash though. Check first.

But that's it right now. No Truck Month deals, no Black Friday $15,000 off MSRP, etc.

I ignore the "trade assist" discount from any and ALL dealership advertisements. In this case, if Laura is offering $1000, then just add that back onto the advertised price, that will give you a more realistic number. Reason for ingoring it???? If you have no trade, you don't get it. If you do have a trade, you DON'T get your trade plus an extra $1000, they just guarantee that you will get at least that much for your trade...

the only way a "trade Assist" allowance would mean any savings off of the price would be if you traded in an old P.O.S. that was only worth a couple hundred in trade. Then you would get the minimum $1000 allowance.

Bottom line, don't take into account the trade allownace at all in the final price and if their final price has it already figured in, add it back to get a real price.

USAA is 700 bucks. But you have to be member, which means you are a vet or your parent was a vet.

I don't want to hijack this thread but there is currently a healthy incentive on select 2014 Crew Cab Silverado 1500s. My local dealerships have a few of these and are showing up to $8.500 discounts on their websites (before trade allowances). I know some people had bad vibration problems with the 14s and I researched a little to see what new features were included in the 15s but would people shy away from buying these remaining 14s?

Based on the above comment by 2Speed, is it likely a buyer could get a similar discount off of a 15 Crew Cab 1500 through straight negotiations? I haven't looked at invoice amounts yet on any of these so I don't have a feel for typical negotiated discounts. Negotiations aren't really my strong suit.

I was topped off to $2000. It expires 3/2.

BeauTie, where are you located? I am trying to find some of these discounted trucks to look at.

I got the truck for 53250 before rebates, just trying to figure out what the current rebates are and it is pretty confusing.... Hoping to get it for right around 50k with gm/usaa rebate plus tax/license. Pretty sure it will ship and be delivered before 3/2.

Pissed it would have been over 3k in rebates if it came in jan.

Rebates are not very good right now in my opinion unless you can find one of the "truck month" or "presidents day" specials. Talked to a dealer today and he said they had one truck that qualified for that discount and it sold yesterday.

    • Interesting, I suspect I would have fueled up in Lee Vining as the day prior I would have filled up either in Laughlin or near there and maybe again before I entered Death Valley and once out the other side late that evening as I kept on driving into the night up near Lee Vining. Next morning I most likely fueled up in LV before heading over Tioga Pass into ( as I refer to it as "Yose .... Mite" 😁 ). And again that was 19 years ago but the price then must not have jumped out at me like the 5 bill a gallon theme of nutty cult hippy country Big Sir or head so far up their rear Aspen. I'd be curious to know where the highest prices are in the lower 48, I probably would not be far off to guess somewhere in Cali forn ie. Coldfoot and Prudhoe bay may have those prices beat but that is a whole other world up there and when prices are more normal elsewhere that is about what they can be up there I believe in no mans land. Anyway interesting that the 395 corridor is hosing people and the thing is, its tourist season and its not like there are a lot of competition options when driving up that highway from what I could see. Yup, big ole Boaterhomes and various other RV's ahead and behind me at the Yosemite entrance gate and they have to get their fuel somewhere.
    • Those can be high, as well as the big California cities. The ones that will pop your eyes out are the 395 corridor on the Eastern side of the Sierra Nevadas. Lee Vining, $7.19 for regular and $8.89 for diesel is what the Google said right now.
    • Correct.  2019-2021 model years are serviced by a different p/n.  19420611.  Recall 2021s use 19420611.   The recall engines 2022-2024 model years are serviced with 12740076.     The difference between 19420611 and 12740076 is GM changed injector size for 2022.  The injectors are smaller on 12740076 with smaller injector bores in the cylinder heads to match the smaller injectors.  So you can't install a 19420611 in a 2022-2024, and you can't install a 12740076 in a 2019-2021.     Both engines are the replacement engine p/ns that are in the L87 recall.  So both of these are the updated engines.     Here's a version of the L87 recall with the p/ns for all the parts needed.    RCRIT-25V274-7075.pdf   Note it shows 19420611 and 12740076 with an asterisk to a footnote "Use the VIN and the GM Electronic Parts Catalog (EPC) to determine which part to order if two or more part numbers are listed for the same part, as it may vary by vehicle options."
    • Looking for advice from this group. Took my flawless 2020 6.2 TB to an unnamed shop for routine rear brakes and oil change. Tech forgot to put oil back in after the full service and needles to say, destroyed my engine.  It’s all on their shop video so they are responsible.   I had my Chevy dealer do the analysis and they confirmed its compromised and said engine replacement. The manager said they only get GM reman engines from GM with full 3 yr warranty and the one they would put in is not same as what’s they are swapping out on 21-25 for recall.    I am looking for advice why that would be a different engine because obviously I had the good 6.2 year and replacing it has my concerns with that recall for 21-15   Also what’s the pros and cons of accepting the engine swap vs telling the shop that bricked the truck to pay up so I buy a new truck. I’m concerned about stigma resale eventually if I just decide to get rid of it after the swap or other issues showing up after the swap out.
    • Just looked up my records.  I've never gone over 5000 miles between oil changes.  At 46K miles, I have 10 oil changes.  I hope that will help.  I also installed the disabler last year.  I've still had a few times when it didn't seem to engage (which I can tell because the start stop feature kicks in), but for the most part, I think it's working.  For some reason, GM did not include the number of cylinders running in the information screen like I had on other models.  In my Cadillac, it shows me when it's running on 4 cylinders on the fuel milage screen.  I can't find that on my '21 Denali.
