2015 Yukon Denali lag/hesitation

I think the odor problem comes from moisture that remains on the condenser coils after you shut it off in warm weather. Outside humidity along with warm weather or in our case really hot weather usually results in the smell. FYI I now own a 2016 Chevy Slilverado 1500LTZ that just turned 14,000 miles and the odor has just started. The dealer said they would treat it ONE time only under warranty then the problem is mine. Funny how all our Fords on the ranch don't have this problem.

Hmm did this thread get off track? Torque management is the issue with the lag and hesitation, my 2016 6.2 does this. If I stomp down from a virtual standstill it does nothing cuz it it is skeered to spin the tires like a good little nanny should be LOL. Reach over and hit the button to turn off the traction control and that helps partially. Once I get past the warranty mileage I am going to have all that nanny crap programmed out.

We just purchased a 2016 Tahoe and unfortunately we have been experiencing the dreaded "slow reaction, hesitation, lag accelerator" issue. We only have 1600 miles on it and hoping that there IS a "learning curve" going on with the transmission. I know that my BMW 3 series "learns" and you are able reset it once you feel a lag by turning the vehicle on to accessories only mode-depress accelerator to floor for 5 seconds-turn vehicle off while accelerator is fully depressed. Makes a HUGE difference in response of the drive-by-wire accelerator. Only wish GM had such a "reset" mode for the Tahoe.
