Wireless Charging

I was doing some research about adding wireless charging to my 15 Denali I have an order and came across some info that gm is suppose to be adding it to the sierra late 15, is there any way to confirm this or just a rumor?

Not a super big deal but would be kinda crappy to get an early order in and then wait 2-3 months then they add better stuff down the line.

Any other info/rumors on what they will be adding to the sierra denali in later 2015?

The 8speed was new and announced for 2015, I was mostly referring to rumors/confirmation on different stuff being added towards the end of 2015

Not sure i got a 15 1/2. 2500 Denali and never heard about wireless charging. But who knows. So many outlets and other wireless features for the phone that i wouldn't base your decision on it

I think that is what I said as wheel and new the Yukons have it, but I read some "rumors" that the pickups will be getting it later in the year 4th quarter or whatever. Was just wondering if anyone knew of any truck to that and if GM has a history of adding stuff later in the year or during the current model runs.

Obv from 14 to 15 they added the 8speed and magnetic ride so they must add options through the current year model

The wireless charging support in the Yukon is built into the center console lid. Isn't the center console on the Yukon the same as the one in the Sierra? Looking at pictures, looks like it. If so, then obtaining the lid with that charger built in would give you a nice factory look.

I have to go to the dealer tomorrow to pick up a part, so I will bug them for part numbers and prices. If that doesn't work out, there's several threads in various places of people hacking in various 3rd party coils that look pretty good.

yea let me know what you find out, I am def interested in getting oem set up. Not having my truck I can't look at the interior or anything but I am def going for oem
