Fan Speed

I've notice that when I turn my fan to a higher speed, it has about a 2 second delay before it actually speeds up. Has anyone else had this issue?

ROFL, that reminds me of an episode of the Simpsons where Moe gets a new deep fryer at his bar.

 

Moe: The deep fryer's here! I got it used from the Navy. You can flash-fry a buffalo in 40 seconds. Homer: Forty seconds?! But I want it now!

Completely normal. I recall reading somewhere about this and it is a normal function of the HVAC fan module.
