Weather notifications

I've noticed the past couple days that the weather notifications are going crazy in my truck. I'll get the same notification multiple times on my drive home from work on a 30 minute commute. Yesterday I had "areal flood watch" and "winter weather" each pop up 5 times. Starting 2 days ago the ok button on the steering wheel to dismiss the notification seems to be hit or miss. Sometimes it will dismiss, and sometimes it won't dismiss at all from the DIC or the in dash screen, until I hit dismiss on the screen in dash. The button works as designed for all other uses, but for some reason it is acting up with the weather stuff.

 

I'm not sure how the notifications are designed to work, the multiple notifications im guessing are from me driving through a couple different counties as well as crossing a state line, so I kinda get that.

 

Anyone else experience anything similar? I'm not super concerned about it, and will probably turn the notifications off anyway. I thought they were "cool" when I got the truck, but they don't mean much to me as they usually deal with areas that I'm not even traveling in. I actually read one yesterday and it was for a couple areas several counties away from me. I'm wondering if they base them off of how far out on the map you are zoomed in or out for these.

Agree....wish there was a way to "tune" them to my zip code or county.
