Because u didn't know..... and I only have a couple hundred to fix it.

Dude the dust shields are cheap come on it'll cost you all the labor again just to replace it in the future its like 30$ for the parts

Now I'm kinda worried.

 

The one I just got looks like this:

..........That's not a g80 is it?

Never mind, the one I bought is a g80, the one on my truck isnt, I checked the glove box codes and it doesn't have the g80 code, so probably just the spider gears are bad.

 

How hard is it to change out the spider gears for the g80 locker?

If this is the Service Parts Identification sticker from YOUR truck, it says G80.

I'm confused and still not sure why you wouldn't have replaced the entire axle assembly since you had it rather than just swapping out gears.

I understand dollars are always a factor but this could end up costing you the same as a new set.
