Truck sound at 70-75mph and up at WOT?

Noticed yesterday that when I go WOT the truck sounds fine till about 70-75 and then it starts to make a loud roaring type noise/rumble if you will.

Has anyone else noticed this? What is it???

Maybe you got a bad wheel bearing? That's typically what a "roaring" noise indicates. But usually you will hear it at lower speeds and it will get louder as you speed up.

Definitely not a bad wheel bearing.

what RPM are you running at WOT around 70-75

I'll have to check tonight for sure.

Anyway, truck sounds/feels weird as soon as you get over that speed at WOT. it's weird. I'll try making a video.

Another thought is maybe your driveshaft is out of balance. And at that speed is when it starts go act funny. Idk. Just spit balling.

That sounds more likely.

By the way, checked out some of your intellilink how to videos. I have some stuff to try out now! thx!

Loose piece of trim or window seal?

Does the truck have add-on bug deflector?

Which motor and trans do you have? Does it do it at that speed when you come off WOT or only under high load high RPM? Does the sound change when it shifts?

I took a video but it didn't really show what I meant. Plus I was well over the speed limit lol.

So I'll try to explain it a little better. Say I am on a highway on ramp. If I put the pedal to the floor it accelerates fine. I keep my foot on the pedal and once I pass say 75mph (foot still on the pedal), then it starts making a different noise and it feels like the truck is vibrating.

I am thinking the drive shaft is likely the culprit. However, there's no need to go that fast or have the pedal to the floor over 80 so what does it matter? Just knowing still bugs me though.

Did you check the air intake assembly? Make sure its secured and tightened properly

Yeah it`s secured properly.

I have the same issue. It was smooth everywhere, except under part to full throttle begining at 70 mph. At that point I would get a vibration in the trans tunnel. Part throttle at those speeds are fine. It's been to the dealer once this week without resolution. They balanced the tires, indexed the driveshaft and shifted the center driveshaft bearing rearward. It goes back next week for the 2nd attempt to fix. Now I also have a vibration at 48 mph during a slow deceleration from 50ish.
