Denali seats

I thought I read somewhere that the leather in the Denali seats were a better grade, anyone know for sure?

The trick is to get the cocoa/dune interior and just pretend you are getting in to a Rolls Royce or a Mercedes.

Is the leather we have even good leather genuine I heard from some shops and professional detailers that our leather will crack and won't last even taken care of not sure ilif that's true and they also said bmw is an example of genuine leather kind of disappointed if this is true.

About a year ago I talked to the main supplier for GM when ordering new leather seat covers for my Camaro. He told me it's not real leather and to only use Lexol cleaner and conditioner. He told me everything else would cause cracking etc. I only needed the bottom cover and he told me to use the Lexol cleaner and conditioner on the upper part of the seat and it would bring it back to life. I did what he said and you cannot tell I only replaced the bottom and this is a 2000 Camaro. I found the guy through Ebay and have his card some where. The stuff really works well.

Not true at all. The Denali seats are a completely different pattern. I can't speak to the quality of the leather, but the stitching, pattern, and headrest are all different in the Denali.

Yes, but is it the same material ?

You can stich it pretty and fancy all you want , but is the material the same ?

The stitching is different the "leather" is the same...

I think the leather is the same between the Denali and standard Sierra. And I also think that only part of the seat is real leather - the middle sections. And I doubt it's to the quality of BMW - that's what Cadillac is for. I belive the sides and back of the leather seats are "pleather."

This is from the GMC Sierra Denali website:

"Perforated Nuance leather-appointed seating designed to provide comfort and ventilation"

If it's not real leather, then we can start a class action lawsuit against GM and get our money back because they claim it's leather.

Well ill add that to my disappointment list....wat katskins leather is there genuine??? If so those well SLE gmc who upgaraded theirs should consider themselves lucky

I think our seats' durability will directly reflect our willingness to take care of it.

I just sold a 2004 Pontiac Grand Am GT with leather seats that appear to be just like the leather in my Denali. I regularly got compliments from passengers about how the seats looked like brand new and they were 11 years old with over 115,000 miles on them. I just wiped them down with leather cleaner/conditioner a couple times a year and that seemed to keep them in great shape.
