2000 zr2 egr delete

i just pulled my egr on my zr2.i put the block off plate on and pulled the hose off the exhaust and manifold.i installed the bolts and im waiting for blackbear to delete it from my computer.however the in stant i did this my idle dropped off as soon as it gets warm. to the point i think it is gonna stall.important to note my truck never did this and it started the second i removed the egr.also running my scanner i n oticed after i took off egr my operating temp never goes above 188.6.does anybody know if these items are normal until i get it wiped from computer.important foot note........no emissions in alaska

Yes, the computer is expecting to see the EGR flow to calculate the running parameters so until it gets retuned your truck is going to run rough.

just a quick update.i just got my tune modified from justin at black bear with my egr delete.worked like a charm.no more stumbling rumbling bumbling idle.smooth like glass and no hot exhaust back into intake.

Sweet, I'm glad it took care of the situation. I'd like to do the same to my truck, but one problem at a time. I've got to get a new"ish" transfer case.
