Jesse Ours Posted April 17, 2015 Posted April 17, 2015 I'm looking for advise to raise the rear bench seat in my 06 silverado ext cab approximately 2". I realize this isn't everyone's cup of tea and some will not agree. However I already have the sub woofer that I want to install and it will be much easier for me to raise the seat to fit the sub then try and sell it and buy a smaller one. I've done some research on the topic online and I haven't really found to much information. I've seen people use wood blocks and steep tubing. I will not be using blocks of wood. I want it to be as safe as factory. Basically I want to use a solid 2x2x6 piece of steel or aluminum and replace the factory bolts with longer/stronger bolts. I believe the factory bolts are welded to the underside of the truck. How could I remove them?
