New 2015 HD Silverado - Paint Issue - Flaking off

I purchased a brand new 2015 Silverado 2500 HD around 24 days ago. I have roughly 850 miles on my truck when I was hand washing it and I observed 2 small areas that the paint flaked off the rocker panel behind the right front wheel. I attached a photo. I was able to flake a little off with my fingernail when I touched it. I was horrified. I have owned many vehicles, some with mud terrain tires and numerous years old and I haven't seen anything even close to this kind of damage on a rocker panel. I alerted the dealership (haven't even made my first payment) and their first statement was "it must be just a chip from a rock." First a rock chip..."chips" the paint, it does not flake it off and expose primer. They weren't excited but agreed to take the truck and provided me with a loaner vehicle. I have checked online and found several similar stories. Just seeing what others thought...I am definitely afraid of 2 things. 1.) They touch it up and/or they do a mediocre job. 2.) If its flaked off already, what else am I in store for in the future?

I will update when I get it back but I guess I was hoping for a dealership to say...wow this is unacceptable and at least show some compassion after I just spent $40+k on a new truck. I have owned a majority of Fords in my lifetime and just switched from a 2010 F-250 which was a mechanical nightmare. I am holding out hope that this will be an isolated area and problem.

I don't know the exact build date - as the build sheet I have is in the glove box and the truck is currently at the dealership. They just called me and said that they are repainting the whole rocker panel for me, but that they are sure this damage is from something being kicked off the wheel?!?!

My truck is a crew cab.
