2" Level Install Price Check

Hey guys, I'm looking at buying a 2" lower mount spacer off ebay for around $30. From what I've read and heard, they are the easiest and quickest install. My local dealership wants 250 for install and an alignment. That seemed a little steep to me so I checked with a custom off road shop in the area and they wanted about the same.

Should I shop around a bit or are these prices pretty normal?

My dealership wanted 600 for purchase, install, and alignment.

I bought mine on ebay for 30, and put it on myself and didn't bother with an alignment. I'll fix that whenever I feel like tossing another 100 into their coffer.

sounds reasonable for paying dealer labor rates. I also did not get an alignment and my tires are wearing fine (not saying this is the right way or wrong way just saying this is the way I went). I have put about 25k on tires and level.

Get an alignment both my trucks had a 1/2 inch of toe change when I installed mine. That price sounds about right for a dealership.

$330 installed with alignment at the shop that used to work on my big horsepower Audi wagon. My truck was the largest vehicle they'd ever had on a lift/ hunter allignment rack.

That insane IMO. 1/2 start to finish per side. Its super easy to install and there's lots of vids showing that on youtube

I have done both sides in 15 minutes without removing the tires, but if the OP doesn't have the tools place or knowledge he is going to have to pay. Might as well get the whole job done at one time instead of running all over the place getting the kit installed and then going to another place for the alignment.

my gmc dealership charged 190 for parts, install, and alignment for a rough country front leveling kit

Damn, for that price I would have paid them to install it too. I mean I paid like $100 for the RC level kit, installed myself and if you include the alignment (that I have not gotten yet but will soon b/c of new wheels) which runs about 75 bucks or so for a total of 175 and about 1.5 hour of my time.

Exactly why I let them do it. Their cost for the kit was 75, I figured 115 for install and alignment was a great price.
