Can This work? shifter Handle

Will shifter handle from NBS work in an OBS? Looking at changing shifter handle in 2005 Silverado 1500 to newer style 07-12 truck. Looks like it can work? Looks like pin just holds it in then just wire in tow haul. now where to find one? The reason for this is im big guy and my knew hits the shifter and puts it in to N and then i don't realize it. I have driven newer style trucks and dont have that issue.

I believe I have asked that question before, but someone told me that his 07 Classic GMT800 2500HD has the same shifter as the one on the 07-13 models. But you must also realize that his truck is a 6 speed automatic tranny with the manual shifting ability as found in 2010-2013 GMT900 trucks. So since yours is an 05, very much a GMT800 truck, and assuming you have the stock 4L60e tranny, the 07-09 Silverado shifters should work since those trucks were equipped with the 4L60E. Most likely it should work, just get the one WITHOUT the manual shift buttons, you know the -/+ symbol on it. Try ebay, you should find plenty of them.

The angle of is different I think? My moms '10 Tahoe when I drive it it stays in drive all the time my leg does not hit it

I doubt if that lever installation would make a significant world of a difference. Have your tried adjusting your seat?

Yes I have, seats all way back and down.

I would have to assume, which without clear, infallible evidence, that the 14+ Shifter on the last will NOT work on a GMT800 pickup truck, whatsoever.
