5.3 Spark Plug Gap

Recommended Posts

Posted
I just picked up the Champion Truck Plugs for $2.49 each.  Should I set the gap at .060 or do you think I should tighten it up a little since I won't be looking to get 100K out of these plugs anyway?  Also, these plugs say they are specially coated to eliminate the need for anti-seize.  Do you think I should put a little anti-seize on anyway for cheap insurance?

Gap them at the recommended spec.  That is what the ignition system was designed to work with.  The more gap, the bigger the spark and the cleaner and more efficient it will burn.
