Is anyone running the VLED LMZ 5202's in their foglights? How was the install? Does anyone have pics? Are there any modification needed to the stock fog light housing?

Thanks

No modification really, but a bitch to get it in there. Match the stock filament offset then you should have perfect beam pattern.

I ended up JB welding my LMZ collars as they are so weak.

Are there any other LED fogs I should be looking at? I am going to be installing my 4300k TRS HID kit this weekend, and would like some functional fogs to match.

I've now had 3 VLED Fog lights go bad in a matter of months. They keep replacing them for me, but I'm getting tired it.

I really hope I won't have an issue with the low beams I installed from them. You scared me!

If you do get tired of them, I would suggest you give OPT7 a try. They're built on the same principle, using CREE LED's instead of Philips ones, and retail for $100 a pair on Amazon.

I am still on my first set, even though the collars' clips broke, bulbs alone are functioning just fine. I JB welded the collars to the housing now. They are not going anywhere for sure.

I'm running the OPT7's on my Low Beams with no issues so far

I have the Vled fog lights in my 2014 Sierra SLT For about 3-4 months. No problems so far. It was a bitch to put them in as Morrislee said but I got away without damaging it. They were so much brighter than the stock headlights so I drove with them on most the time at night till I upgraded the headlights

The collars SUCK! I already ordered a replacement set, and had had those glued to the housing. Now the damn bulbs like to move around still :(

What do you mean they still move around? I use teflon tape in the thread, did you use something like that? I didnt want ANY moisture to get in.

The black collars on my fog lights stay in the housing now that I glued them to it, but the lights themselves still slide off..
