VLED LMZ Foglights

The black collars on my fog lights stay in the housing now that I glued them to it, but the lights themselves still slide off..

Oh, yeah, the collar has 2 parts I forgot. I superglued them when I first got them. I noticed they were separating long before i started using them. if you dont, the moisture still gets to the bulb. I think the 5202 sockets are just shitty design overall across the board. should not have even been used in any applications.

Twist in like the headlight still creates a better seal.

I have to swap out bulbs from side to side to confirm its a bad bulb again first, then have whatever parts bad warranties again. I understand that crap happens, and I agree the 5202 socket is garbage, but I'm losing faith in the brand...

How are these when actually using them in fog conditions? That is the only time I would find myself ever using them and at 3k Lumens that seems like it would just glare badly in fog.

For VLEDs seems like the purpose is a second set of headlights basically.... and if you wired to have running fogs with hi beams man that must be nice and bright.

Almost think it is moisture issue causing your bulbs to break. use teflon tape between the thread. use a blow dryer and dry out the fog light housing. Make sure the 2 sections of the collars are sealed with some sort of glue.

Even though VLED's advertise these are waterproof, I looked at the quality of the work and the fitment of the socket, not as good as they claim to be.

I found my problem, or at least "a" problem... This connector that plugs into the factory harness at one end and the ballast on the other is bad. One of the connections at the end broke off, looks like corrosion..

Ok, not the first time this is shown to be a problem... I am gonna JB weld mine to be sure mine does not end up like that!

So I got another set of these connectors from VLED. They also sent me a new wiring harness for the HID kit and two new ballasts. I'm hoping this ends my problems. (Fingers crossed)

I am trying to install the LMZ foglights on my '15 Sierra, but I cannot get the new 5202 collars to click in to foglight housing. I even tried just inserting just the plastic part of the collar, but it doesn't seem to ever click in, even when I apply a lot of force. I also have the collar oriented in the right direction.. I don't want to break the collars, is there a special trick to getting these installed??

I can reinstall and remove the original bulbs easily, but the new VLED collar doesn't seem to push all the way in and lock into place....

Also, should the led's be facing horizontal or vertical?

So what is the final word on these? Not worth the money? Good output but crappy design?

I'm running the OPT7's on my Low Beams with no issues so far

this is what I still do not understand. I thought Hi/Low where one bulb. can you put hid on the hi and low or do you install in on the low only?

Depends on if you have a Chevy or GMC, Chevy's have two sets of lights. One for high and one for low, I'm running the leds in just my low. Gmc trucks have a single light

I have a GMC....Reference is HIR-2 or 9012 but I never see these listed in the options.
