I usually hang out on corvetteforum.com but recently added a 2003 TrailBlazer LT to the stable.  It's not four wheel drive so it didn't come with the tow hooks.  I'm thinking about adding the stock tow hooks to the vehicle but thought I'd first ask the experts about their experiences.  I located the first bolt hole but couldn't reach the other two.  Do I have to remove the front bumper to make the installation?  Any help you can provide will certainly be appreciated.  :nono:

Yes, installed them on my '02.  You need to remove the grill and bumper cover first.  Not difficult, just unbolt everything that's in the way.  No kit available, you will need to get the individual parts.

The parts breakdown will show a big bolt, small bolt and a roll pin for each hook, don't need the big bolts, same as the bumper bolts, and my hooks came with a roll pin installed.

Good luck!

Thanks for the reply.  How much work am I looking at timewise?  How many bolts, screws, nuts, etc. are holding the grill and bumper in place?  Is it tough to get the bumper back in line?  The wife will kill me if I take it apart and can't get it back together!

Did it a year ago, so I may not remember exactly, by I'd guess an hour or hour and a half.  Just look for hidden fasteners, I recall that there are a few plastiic push pins.

I scoped it out a little this evening.  Looks like several plastic fasteners hold the grill.  I'll probably look at it closer this weekend when I have some daylight.  Thanks for the advice.  Don   :thumb:
