Thanks for all the help guys. I got new key fob on its way and if I can't program it myself I'm going to try out a locksmith that might do it for 30 bucks

Call the dealer first to check before you attempt to program or call a locksmith, my dealer programmed a new fob for me in less than 20 seconds, free

It will be a few days before it arrives but I'll check in with the dealer to see if they'll do it for free

I bought a replacement online they are not OE. buttons are higher than they should be. I had to disable the panic button inside with tape, it kept going off just being in my pocket. ink wore off the buttons in a couple weeks. every couple months it stops working and I have to re-program it. buy OE, you get what you pay for.

Sounds bad I've never had problems that bad with one. Yes they aren't the most durable and you do get what you pay for but $95 just for a remote without batteries seems like a lot. Plus and extra $80 for the labor to program it. I ended up getting one for Amazon had it programmed by one of my buddies that works a a gmc dealer for 20 bucks.

must depend on the year as far as programming goes. I can program mine myself in 2 minutes. I probably got a lemon anyway. that panic button setting off the horn drove me nuts.

Mines a 2013 so it has to have a thing plugged into the obdii to program it. Yup sometimes that's the way it goes with these things I had a viper alarm do the same to me the panic alarm went off constantly. Found out it was a bad computer
