For my new truck, I am not getting the spray in liner. Want to keep the box color so that it illuminates better with the 2 under rail Led bed lamps. I am going to get a Dee Zee bed mat which just happens to be on sale at Cabelas!

I will admit that I don't understand bed rugs. Having not seen one in person, I imagine that is kinda like the interior carpet or indoor/outdoor carpet, correct? What is the reason for it? It seems as if it turns the bed into a big trunk and therefore negates one of the main utility reasons of the truck to begin with. I mean you can't really carry mulch, dirt, other landscaping materials in the bed of your truck without needing to do a through cleaning/vacuuming, right? I suppose if you were just carrying tools or supplies or other "dry goods" it would make sense.

I agree. And what happens when it rains, snows, or even going through the car wash. I purchased a Duraliner through my dealer at the time of purchase.

Since there is so many details to work out at the time of I purchase I didn't even noticed that we didn't even state what kind of bed liner we wanted. But not to worry, our sales guy had it all taken care of, he choose a really good one. So when I brought it back the next day for the install of the bedliner, I did ask him. I was very please when he informed that it was the Duraliner. I have had several comments from other truck owners that informing me that they were impress with this brand and that it is a good quality bedliner. And it doesn't mind going through the car wash once a week either.

I've used a rubber mat for 10+ years, don't care about scratching/denting the sides or tailgate, just so stuff doesn't slide around normal/nice driving. My '14 has GM's version of it and it's good.

I usually buy a rubber bed mat from the camper place down the street. Cost? 59 bucks. I put a tailgate liner on the tailgate.

Last 2 times around, I didn't have to. Why?

The Bed configuration between my 2008 Chevy longbed, 2011 GMC longbed, and 2014 Chevy longbed were one in the same.

I just removed the bed mat from the old truck and threw it in the back of the new one. Fits right.

On the 2014, they changed the tailgate liner. So I had to buy a new tailgate liner. Cost me 53 bucks at the Chevy dealer.

If you are on a budget- go on Craigslist and find a mat or liner off a 2003-up truck and drop it in. same bed.

Maybe off a 1999 truck for all I know.

Throw that thing in the trash and get it Line-X'd. Your truck will thank you.

Wow, tell us all how you feel, now don't hold back. You forgot to add IMO to the end of your statement.

One of the mods for this forum disagrees with you. He got to see my new truck a few weeks ago and was impressed with the bedliner. So far I am very happy with it.

Do tell, what is so superior about an Line-X over a Duraliner? Give me facts, not opinions.

table.gifThe biggest difference between Line-X and any brand of drop-in plastic bed liner is the ability to utilize the drain holes in your bed and not trap water, causing rust and rot after years of use.
