Leveling Kit

Hello everyone,

I'm new here and this is my first post so excuse me if this topic has been brought up already. I did do some deep searches and didn't seem to come up with a definite answer.

But anyway I have a 2015 silverado CC shortbox, I was planning on leveling it and putting 285/55/r20 when BFG releases that size in the ko2 this September. Well after measuring I found there is only a 1 1/4 inch rake between the front and back, I'm afraid if I do a RC 2" level this would raise the front up to much so when I trailer it will bring the rear down to much. I also have a Leer topper which may be why it seems more level. But also looking through everyone elses post on this topic it seems others have a much greater difference between front and rear.

So would the 2" level without blocks be to much? or can I stuff the 285's under there with stock ride height?

As you can see in the attached picture it sits almost perfectly level with a load. Sorry not the best picture to show this.

Thank you in advance!

Cheap option: buy the RC 2.5" Level kit, install the 2" spacer up front, don't install .5" puck on top of shocks, and install the +1" rear blocks for the rear. This will leave some desired rake.

Or you can call Rough Country and get a +2"block for the rear and install the .5" puck on the front shocks

Option 2: upgrade shocks to bilstein adjustable 5100 or fox adjustable shocks

I suppose doing this, install the front first, measure up and go from there?

Will a 285 look fine under that height?

I installed the RC 2" front lift and it made the rear seem a little to low at times, so I ordered the RC rear block from the 2.5" level kit. I'm pretty happy with it, has a little bit of rake to it.

285/55 really isn't much different than stock.

The BFG's will look 10x better than stock tires

So in theory, I could run the 285's stock height with no rubbing. I don't have a huge issue in regards to how it sits now. But I mean if I HAVE TOO...

Go out to your truck now with a tape measure. Measure the gap between tire and wheel well, if you have an .5" gap, you have room.

Now turn your truck on, turn steering wheel all the way to right, get out and measure gap between wheel and tire rod. If you have an .5" gap, you will be fine.

In theory, yes you could run the 285/55 with your stock set-up

Between the tire and the inside of the wheel well towards the motor?

Sorry don't have any pics. It's hard to find a level surface anyway. Since I lifted it, I'm noticing how many surfaces are uneven because I notice how diff the stance looks at times.

After measuring up it seems I have well over an inch of clearance on all sides. Guess the concern would be off the road.

ok well yall have really got me in a twist. I just thought I was gonna get some spacers and level the truck. Apparently this can get allot more complicated.

so in short, the spacer is the cheap option, Fox is the expensive best option. whats the really good middle of the road Street option for a 2wd that I just wanna look good and ride nice?

What's so complicated? Rancho quick lifts is an option.
