Bed is not level - RR Corner is down

Been noticing this since a few days after I bought the truck almost a year ago. But i've had a lot of $h!% happening in life so I never paid much attention. Now the truck has 26k, 1yr old. The right rear corner of the bed is down if you look at the truck from the rear. All 3 corners are level except the RR corner. I'd guess it's down 1/4"-3/8". I crawled under the truck and saw the rear of the bed has 2 bolts to the frame on each corner. I don't see any spacers, the bed it bolted right to the frame. Is this just me here with a crooked bed?

Haven't seen anything about uneven body or truck bed. Owner of Muffler Shop adjusted rear pipes while installing dual exhaust . Bumper or bed was off 1/4 or so on 2012 Reg. Cab

Normal

LOL.

You might find a level slab of concrete, jack it and set it on the frame on 4 jack stands, then measure the fender wells and bed box height. Springs are usually the thing that varies.

I think this is nitpicking. I know you're used to BMW standards (formerly I owned two E36 M3s), but trucks are usually built with a looser tolerances when it comes to body panel fitment. There are some areas with a very tight tolerance, front bumper cap to fender for example, but bed-to cab gap will have to be large to allow combined movement of the two without rubbing at perceivable situations.

Without poring over drawings and design specifications, it's hard to determine why you have seen what you saw. If it's anything, it's actually a good thing since GM trucks of the past are known for leaning to the left due to placement of fuel tank and battery.

When knowing that battery location was on the right side and not in front of the axle line, I was surprised. I also found out that the powertrain and the drivetrain centerline is not aligned with the chassis centerline. I'm unsure for what reason, maybe for crashworthiness and unlikely for weight distribution, but I'm glad because it helps with weight distribution. Once in a while, when I look at my truck parked at an even surface, there seems to be a slight lean to the right and I like that; maybe when

I'm sitting in the driver seat, plus a full tank of gas, the truck becomes closer to perfectly level.

If you're into chassis setup and weight distribution, you might enjoy this tidbit. My '8 Z06 sits much like the way your truck as described. Front-left corner is jacked up and right-rear is low. It has been corner scaled and diagonal weights adjusted (with fuel level between 3/4 and full) to achieve a "perfect weight distribution" when I'm sitting in the driver seat. The height difference is stark enough that driving the car right after a winter hibernation feels like the right-rear tire is flat.

^Wow. That much scale difference. good info man. Yeah, it's the bmw tolerance expectation coming out maybe.. who knows. still am very happy with my truck.
