Time to replace OEM 18" tires---Opinions?

Hi guys I am looking at replacing my tires in the next few weeks and debating on what to put on the vehicle. In the past I have used Michelin LTX MS/2's on my Suburbans but I am considering a more aggressive AT look for my Silverado. I want to avoid adding a leveling kit to the vehicle just for the tires. My question is do I need to put the same size tire 265-65-18 or can a slightly larger tire me placed on a stock vehicle. My truck is a 5.3 crew cab 6.5' bed with the 3.73 max trailer package.

Another tire I was considering is the Michelin LTX AT2 or the BFG All- Terrain. I would like a slightly more aggressive look but would still like to minimize the road noise as much as possible.

Look forward to hearing everyone opinions.

You can go 275 65 18 without any issues, or 285 65 18 if you want to take a chance. Most don't rub on that either.

I was a huge fan of the Cooper ATP in 275 65 18 if you have discount tire locally.

I went with the LTX M/S on my 08 after having more aggressive replacements on my '99. I know on the 08 with the stock size, there was a limited amount of choices.

If you don't want the Michelin M/S I'd vote Cooper A/T3's or Michelin LTX AT. Also if you do decide to go back to the Michelin M/S tire, wait because the current M/S 2 is being replaced with the new Defender M/S.

Make sure the tire shop is dealer for the brand you want to cover warranty. Also make sure they have the equipment and experienced employees to properly balance and inflate tires. Beware of shops that sell B grade tires. I used Tire Rack.com to compare prices and reviews, IMO would stay with 265
