LED Switchback Turn signals

Recommended Posts

Hey guys,

I did a reflector delete on my headlights, and replaced the turn signals with some LED Switchbacks. Love them, other than the fact that I get hyper flash and a blinker out warning every time I signal.

I know you can wire in resistors (I have never done this before) but I have also been told that a special relay would also eliminate this issue?

Could anyone shed some light on this? Maybe provide a link to such relays so that I can get this annoying issue fixed? :)

Thanks!

I have resistors wired in and they work fine. However I haven't heard of any special type relay that would fix it.

Could you possibly send me a link to the resistors you have? OR a link to some that would do the trick? Also, any chance of some pics of how and where you have them wired in? (This will be a first for me) Thanks!

I got my resistors from Amazon.

I heard that load resistors with led bulbs draw just as much current as the original halogens.

So it negates the benefit of lower wattage from the battery, which is my primary reason for switching to LEDs.

Wish there was an easy way to change the ECM for side signal wattage.
