Is my problem with White Diamond paint unique?

2 weeks ago I traded for a 15 Crew Cab with White Diamond paint. It seems like every bug within eyesight of me plays Kamikaze and splatters itself on my new truck. They seem to like the color as much as I do. I'm spending as much time cleaning the bugs off as I spend driving it.

Its the paint. Intoxicates bugs and they fly madly towards it.

 

Mine gets dirty too. Full of bugs no matter what I do. Curse GM and this color choice.

So is every little grain of dust on my dark colored truck.

I guess it's just the nature of things.

Yep. White shows bugs and dings easier, while dark colors show dust and swirls easier.

Yep - that's what the problem is with white. Shows the bugs plenty! Best thing you can do is to polish it, and then wax it or seal it so the bugs come off much easier.

I see your from Nebraska. I feel the same way. When I ride my black motorcycle back there I get more bugs on my bike in a couple of days than I get all year here in Colorado. I think the bugs under go Kamikaze training there too!

They are bad this year, especially the grasshoppers. I don't know what the yellow innerds come from but they are quite large and leave large slimy spots.

Remember when the river was flooded 3 or 4 years ago? I picked up all of these bugs as I passed through Rockport, MO on my way back to KC from Omaha.

Gross. That reminds me of love bug season down in SE Texas and West Louisiana. A half hour drive through a love bug forest will turn your truck completely black and very smelly.
