Weathertech Mud Flaps- Lost one already.... :(

The past week I added Weathertech Mud Flaps front and rear, and Weathertech floor liners, front and rear. I went through the dealers car wash yesterday, and it apparently took off my right rear mud flap. Crap! These are the "no drill" flaps, and I was a bit concerned how well they would stay on. I guess I know now. I will contact Weathertech and see how good their customer service is. Maybe they will send me the one that I need, otherwise I'll have to guy a new set. Any advice on how to secure these a little better? They seems pretty secure when I put them on, but obviously this one wasn't. The front ones use the factory screws, and are a lot more secure in my opinion. Here's the front:

The rear doesn't use any factory screw points at all? I was going to get these but not if they won't stay on.

No, they don't. They have two "clamps" and a molded in slot at the bottom to "secure" them without screws. I'll try them again, but I'm going to loctite the screws of the clamp for a little extra protection. If that doesn't work, I'll look at the GM ones. They cost a lot more money, though.

I have put them on several trucks and run them through the auto car washes weekly, Never had a problem. If they come with the locking plate screw too tight, they will not overlap the fender and lock it into place. The ones I just put on my new truck were that way, I had to unscrew the screw partially to give the plate enough slack to overlap the fender before tightening them down.

Mine used the original screws from the truck and the attached locking plate.

I see how I missed that you have the Sierra, I'm not sure about those, Sorry.

I've never had a problem in car washes either. Backed into a snowbank once and popped a rear one off. I was lucky I didn't leave it in the snow..

Hmmm, i just installed my weathertechs a couple days ago on my silverado, and my rears used 2 factory torx screws + locking allen clip. Maybe these are newer versions that i recieved. Or like mentioned above, the silvys are just a lil different. Idk.post-148296-0-46918700-1444004982_thumb.jpg

Not a problem. I really like the weathertechs. They keep my running boards clean and quarter panels rock chip free. The fronts are installed using the factory screws only. 10 min install. They even come with the appropriate torx bit and allen wrench. I got a pretty good deal on ebay for them too. I paid $73 for all 4. http://www.ebay.com/itm/171477786685?_trksid=p2057872.m2749.l2649&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT

Too bad the sierras are different

I have OEM GMC mudflaps that I took off when I got my truck. If you want them, just pay the shipping and they're yours. PM if you're interested.

Did you get in touch with them forva replacement.?

Just got off the phone with Weathertech customer service. I was basically told to pack sand. But they would be happy to sell me a new pair! No too impressed. Wish I would have gone with Husky products instead now....

For Silverado these work well. I just installed mine and was impressed with how well they fit.

Too bad the Sierra rear setup doesn't allow the factory screws to be used like in the Silverado.
