AT tire reviews

i am in the market to upgrade my tires on my 2015 Sierra 1500 4x4 to a AT tire.

But first would like some feedback or user insight on these topics: highway noise, ease of fit (ie; no rubbing), off-highway grip and speed of wear.

I am planning on adding a 2.5" Rough country Leveling kit and using the stock 20's.

Some tires that i am looking into are: Nitto Terra Grappler 2, General tire grabber, BFG KO2 and Toyo open country rt.

If you have size suggestions that would also help.

thank you all in advance.

Subscribing. :) I too am in the market. I would add Goodyear Duratracs, Cooper Discoverer AT3, and Toyo ATII to the list.

Right now, I personally am leaning Toyo ATII. But lets see the feedback.

With a 2"+ lift, I believe the size of choice many times is 275/65/20

Thanks, Mike

The ko2 duratrac and at3 are all very good choices you can't go wrong with any of them! It all depends on your taste of how aggressive you want the tire to be and how much you want to spend.. Personally I would spend the extra and get the ko2 good luck and let us know what you go with!

I went with the BFGoodrich K02's. I would say the road noise is definitely more than stock, but not a real problem. I've only had them for a few months but really happy with them so far. I've had them on sand, gravel and some mud all with good results, no snow yet. As far as speed of wear, I don't have enough miles on them yet to really tell, but they still look like new after about five thousand miles. http://www.tirerack.com/tires/tires.jsp?tireMake=BFGoodrich&tireModel=All-Terrain+T%2FA+KO2

KO2's are nice

No louder than the original ATs. Hardly noticeable at all. Seem to ride nicer than the original ATs also

I had cooper at3 and Firestone at. I liked both, cooper has little more aggressive tread. But overall I liked the Firestone at little bit better. They were quite and had good tread life. Guess it depends on what terrain you are driveing on the most

I really like my LT285/70R17 Toyo AT II's. No rubbing at stock height, Not noisy on the road, and I've got about 20k miles on them with plenty of tread left so far.
