2014 Sierra - Horn Loudness?

I also don't find the horn to be very loud, but like Tattooo said maybe it's just the seals and quieting doing its job. I had a Dodge Ram rental while mine was in the shop and its horns were astonishingly loud, so much so that I was nervous remotely locking it at home because I thought it would annoy the neighbours.

Well I agree with everyone else that the door seals are doing their job and things are very quiet inside the truck, but my findings are from standing outside the truck. I'll just go ahead and keep telling myself I'm going crazy

My friend took a horn from a 1950 Chevy car and put it in his Silverado. The horn was originally designed to use is a 6 volts. So now the horn is using 12 volts and "loud" is an understatement lol.

That's why I got 8 horns ready to install on my upcoming 2016 truck.

beside the 2 note factory horns this will give me 10 electric horns combo!

I'm not ready for someone to hit my new truck :ughdance:

Just stole a train horn and will give it to my dad for Christmas so his 2014 won't have such a wussy horn... XD

Stole? If that's for real then I would be ashamed to call you my son if I were him.

I'm thinking this is a troll post. First your going to put it on your dads truck and now your going to put it on your truck. If thats the case, it sounds like your one stolen train horn short...

Am I crazy or does anybody else think the horns on these trucks aren't very loud? Especially when locking the truck it honks, but its pretty subtle. I've got a loaner car right now (GMC Acadia) and the horn on that thing is louder than the one on my truck.

Curious if anyone knows or has found a direct fit, replacement horn.

Get these. Very loud

Noticed this on my 2005 chevy colorado.

Went to the Ford dealer and ordered a horn for a 2013 F250.

Wired it all up..... Problem solved.

We're te windows rolled up when you tried the Acadia vs the truck? One might be better insulated.
