2014 Sierra - Horn Loudness?

I haven't updated this thread in a while. It turns out that I actually did have a bad horn. When I took that Acadia back I brought it up to them and I was actually dealing with the service manager so he sent my truck right back in and they verified it was a defective horn. Replaced it out with a new one and its been fine since.

Good you found the issue and had it corrected. I think mine is loud enough, no complaints.

For the one guy who said the Rams were super loud, it's because the noise of the horn is filtered into the cabin as well

Get a train horn. Thats what I have. Shocker XL and 5 gallons of air. And a locomotive E-bell.

I had the same issue with mine. The bad horn was replaced and now is nice & loud.

I have not crawled under my 2016 Silverado yet to find the horn. I want to tap the wire for a relay to power some extra horns. If someone can tell me where to look that might save me a little searching time. Thanx in advance.

If you can find some old Cadillac horns from the 70's and 80's they are pretty loud but you will need to install both of them.

I put four Cadillac horns (plenty for sale on the big auction site) in my C6 Corvette - see http://tinyurl.com/lcvu68e Real attention getter.

Found them. Just to the left of the radiator. Hidden behind the fill tube for the windshield washer fluid. Obvious once you find 'em and know where they are.

This would seem like the time to put in a plug for a Kleinn Air Horn. We have everything from earth shaking train horns down to direct drive air horns that don't require a tank. Check us out at www.kleinn.com.

Also have several vehicle specific Onboard Air systems that can power your horns, air bags and some air powered tools.
