Neutral light.

I just noticed that I have a neutral light next to my 4wd buttons.  How do I shift the T-Case into Neutral?  I must be able to some how.  Is it just a combo of button pushing?

Look in your manual and it should tell you it is there for when your vehicle is being pulled by another down the road I believe.  I think it's combination of pushing the 4LO and 4HI at the same time.

It's a 2 key combo for sure, another reason I don't like the push button 4 Wheel drive.  In the old days you just grabed the stick and droped her into Neutral.  Also it's usefull for testing out the DRL's!!! (Put transfer case in neutral and put the trany in drive, get out and check it out)

Here is how you do it: (check your manual just in case):

The truck can be on or off...with the vehicle tranny in neutral, push and hold the 2H and 4L buttons together and hold for 10 seconds.  It will shift into neutral.  Move the tranny into reverse and then drive (all one motion), TURN THE TRUCK OFF, then put it in park.  Be sure to set the e-brake...the truck isn't in gear.

No Problem...please do check your manual though...I just realized you will be doing this on the older body style Tahoe.  In theory it should be the same...famous last words!    :banghead:
