upgrades t o2013 2500 chevy diesel

New to forum:

 

A friend of mine who had owned several diesels suggested some of the following upgrades/ mods to my diesel. Just purchased it 6 months ago and currently registered in CA but plan to move to WA. I will tow a 32' Arctic Fox on occasion

 

Install an Edge Evolution CTS monitor

 

Have mechanic modify some of the smog - suppose to be a way to disconnect the requirement to add diesel exhaust fluid (urea)

 

Increase size of the exhaust which is leagal and helps mileage and performance

I have the Edge Insight, which is similar to the CTS...it is well worth the cost for the parameters it will monitor, just keep in mind the Pyro temp probe (and any other external sensor) is an add-on and pricey.

EGR and DPF deletes, along with a custom tune will make a huge difference. Bigger exhaust, not really, 4 or 5 inch is really all you need.

 

The edge evolution isn't a monitor, it's a programmer. The edge insight is a monitor, I like mine.

CS or CTS refers to the screen setup. For example an Insight CTS, is a monitor with a color touch screen.
