NO JOY 0121 code

Plagued by returning 0121 code throttle position sensor error. Replaced foot control device on advice of chevy parts guy, but still recurring. No drivability problems noted. Goes away sometimes, sometimes must be erased. Any thoughts??

P0121 for a 2012 Silverado 1500 truck Throttle Position (TP) Sensor 1 Performance. Per the diags from GM, two parts show as potential culprits. The throttle body itself, or the ECM.

 

P0121 for a 2012 Silverado 2500/3500HD with 6.0 is Throttle Position Sensor Performance. Per the diags from GM, two parts show as potential culprits. The throttle body itself, or the ECM.

 

I list both because your signature only says 12 Silverado.

 

The throttle bodies on 2007-2013 trucks are known for sensor correlation issues but that is a different code. My $$$ would be on the throttle body acting up, possibly wiring to the throttle body as well.

This brings up a pet peeve. When someone signs up, why are they so secretive regarding their vehicle? It can't take much more than a dozen keystrokes. Its not like entering some privacy related information.
