2500 Duramax or 1500 5.3

-crushnchowda, thanks for helping warm people up to the fact that the new Gen3 Silvy with a 5.3 and a max tow is one capable truck. Heck, it's like having a 2000 HD.

I am not familiar with the advantages of tuning. Can you give me the highlights? I am running stock other than a set of Timbrens.

It's more like a 3/4 from 2011 or later. On another forum, a guy posted up his specs from a 2011 3/4 ton Sub (yes, I know, not exactly apples to apples), and his towing capacity and payload are the same as my max tow.

 

My point is that these trucks have come a LONG way in just past the few years. Rather impressive. Makes you wonder where they will be in another few years.
