My 2016 Sierra arrived!

Dealer called Tuesday and said my order had updated to in transit and should arrive within 7-14 days. Friday they called and had me fill out the gms app and get the auth code, this morning they called and said it just came in last night! Way before even the 7 day mark. That's the first thing in this whole order process that has actually moved fast. Not taking delivery until all accessories are installed, probably by next Friday.

Thanks! Really wanted to drive up to see it, but our gmc dealer is an hour and a half away, and I don't think I'll have that kind of time to just drive up. So for now I just keep staring at the pics

Hi,

I agree your new truck should be great. Just curious how far you live from the plant your truck was built.

I have a 2016 Silverado 3500 HD High Country just put in transit and I live on the West Coast and wonder how long I have to wait for mine.

Best of luck with your new GMC.

I'm not exactly sure where mine was built, whether Fort Wayne or Flint, but Flint is the furthest away at 275 miles.

Not really sure it much matters though. My boss' 1500 Denali was in transit for a week and a half, got dropped off at a plant about 40 miles away, and then spent two weeks there waiting for a truck to go north to the dealer. Which is what I was fully prepared to see happen with mine, fortunately that wasn't the case.

Best of luck to you!

Nice rig, You should be excited..

I'm a little surprised the GMC doesn't offer the Denali package in the DC configuration....along with the option of chrome bumpers.

I can't fit anything longer than a DC in my garage with my snow plow attached

Let me potentially spend more of your money..

Check out your truck with a Denali grille with chrome bumpers,

I always have trouble sleeping when I know my order is in and ready for pick up.

The truck drives like a dream, and rides incredible for a shorter HD.

Thanks! You got s nice truck also!

Everyone keeps asking me if I'm going to put a plow on it, but I don't have the spare time to make money with it, let alone for everyone that knows me to ask if I can just take a swipe. As for my own driveway, that's what I have 4wd for.

I wanted a DC no matter what, always preferred extended over crews. Measured my garage after my mind was already made up, and I'll have 10" to spare from front bumper to garage door. Being the bigger guy that I am, I think that's going to speed up my plans for an addition, or additional building. I have too much junk that needs a roof over it and not enough roof.

Oh man, do I know that feeling. When we built our house, I extended the garage a couple of feet to fit my "then" CC dually. What a mistake it was to not go out another 10 feet.

I have a whopping 3" from wall to door with my plow on. Thank God my new plow fit, because I've been known to be a little "off" on my measurements.

I don't plow commercially. No matter what someone tells you, there is little money in it, and my bed is way too comfortable to leave at 3:00 am.. I guess its cash flow for those who are in seasonal businesses and are idle in the winter. I plow my business and my apartments, and my home. More of a convenience for home, and a necessity for my business.

Thanks! Hopefully it'll drive as awesome as it looks. I've read so many positives and negatives, I'm ready to just hop in and make up my own mind!

Hoping everything lines up just right and I'll be able to take delivery of it next Monday.

Be sure to let air out of the back tires before driving it, the dealer will pump them all the way up and it will ride like it has zero suspension, take them from 80psi to 40psi before even driving it off the lot.

That's actually a phone call I'm going to make today or tomorrow, to see about reprogramming the tpms to 50. I gotta pull out our a/m tpms scanner to see if it will do the lowering, if not I plan on having them do it. I'm not towing all the time, no reason I need my tires at 80psi unloaded
