I am looking at these here: http://www.gorecon.com/product.php?pk=741&pname=Part-264128BK-SMOKED-Chevy-GMC-14-16-3rd-GEN

I know some others only include two wires and you have to cut off the factory connector, but these come completely plug and play.

I also read on here that some others had issues with the third brake light not fitting properly and letting water in, but I think that was mostly the eBay specials. Being a brand name these should be quality fit and finish.

If nobody has had a bad experience, I will order it and let you know how it goes.

I just installed this one on my truck. It is plug and play I did how over had to trim the guide tabs slightly so it would slide in straight. Disappointed with that part and the fact it doesn't sit completely flush like the OEM. It comes with a new gasket which is fairly thick and I was afraid to over tighten. Maybe that's why but so far no leaks detected.

Do you mean this one as in the Recon I mentioned, or a different one?

Sorry I meant the one you linked to.

That's what I thought. I don't know why they can't clone OEM fit and finish and just put LEDs inside. None of the third-parties seem to have gotten it perfectly right and I was counting on a big name to hopefully do so.

Don't get me wrong I still like it a lot and really the only way you would no is when you put it on. It just sits up everso much. My truck is black so it go well with it.
