Goodyear Poly-V Gatorback Belt

Does anyone have the part number for the gatorback serpentine belt for a 02 2500HD 8100/Allison? Autozone can't find it and they can't cross reference from the stock (12576747) belt.

Thanks for your help.

Id like to know too since no chevy or GMC  dealer even stocks the stocker.   In fact they dont even dtock the belts for the Dmax/Allison.  I guess they figure you will never need one.

Even the service departments dont have any either.

Thanks for the Goodyear link. I checked the Silverado model option instead of the C & K Series and got 6PK2415 as the corresponding metric part number for the 8.1L V8.

I go out to my truck to take a look at the belts and find the belt has a GM part number on it followed by the number 6PK2410 EB. This happens to be pretty close to those listed Goodyear site and makes me wonder if my ticking problem be due the dealer warrantying me the wrong belt?

Who is more credible - the GM service technician or Goodyear?

Comparing the 2415 belt to the 2410 belt, the difference is the length- the 2415 is 5mm longer then the 2410. The last four numbers refer to the overall length of the belt.

I doubt you have the wrong belt on your truck.

5 MM isnt much over the total length of belt, and im sure theres enough adjustment to accomodate either.  at least you'd think.

Id give more credit to goodyear than the mechanic.  I've met only a few mechanics that Id actually let work on my rides.

I went ahead and ordered the Goodyear Gatorback #4060950 - 6PK2415 and got around to putting it on tonight. Had a few minutes to tinker around before picking up kids and thought why not. I guess I had some reservations about whether it would be the right belt but when stretched out it was the same length as the stock #12576747. I will see how long it takes before this one starts chirping in the morning like the others. I am getting ready to turn 40K and this is my fourth belt.

 I thought maybe you were putting on the Gator belt to get some extra HP.....

A buddy of mine did a dyno with the stock belt and then put the gator belt on and then dyno numbers were about 15-20 HP more. This was due to the fact that the factory belt was slipping on his supercharger and the gator belt grabbed better and had no slippage.

I can't believe that you've went thru 4 squeaky belts..... Someone told me once that it's due to the belt being too tight. You might check to see that your belt tensioner is working corectly, it could be over tightning your belts.
