I have a GPS plugged into the accessory power and would like it to turn off when I turn off my truck but the accessory plug stays hot after the truck is turned off. Is there a way to tell the truck to turn off the power to the accessory power plug when the truck is turned off? I was hoping there is a way to do this without rewiring anything.

Thanks

I have a 2015 GMC Sierra SLE without navigation built in.

Do you have a floor console? I had the same issue so I purchased a 4 way accessory jack extender and plugged it into the switched jack inside the floor console.

I routed the wire so it sits under the cup holder.

I plug the GPS into that and have three additional spots for other accessories that will be switched.

I don't know if that will work with a jump seat console.

Thanks smcgillis10. I think you mean that I should move the fuse that is in position 12 to position 49. I do not see how to move the fuse. When I remove the fuse from position 12 I don't see any way to move it.

there are 3 pins in that position. you either put it to the top set or the bottom. one side is always on for accessory power and the other is switched..

let say the three pins are labeled 1 / 2 / 3.

when the fuse is on pins 1/2 the power to your 12volt sockets are switched.

and when the fuse is on pins 2/3 the power is always on.

if i need to i will take pictures of my truck to show you what i mean.

My 2015 Sierra may be different for your truck. When I pull off the fuse I don't see any other way to reconnect it... BTW how do I post a picture. I would post a picture to show you want my fuse box looks like. It is slightly different than yours.

Thanks for the input.

The fuse for the RAP is here on my 2014 silverado. You can see the blade that the fuse slides onto. Not sure if they changed that with the 15s can't find any information about the 15s and the rap being able to switch the fuse. They might have done away with it. f1d5bf1d9d9959048f2704684a909484.jpg

That worked. The actual fuse numbers are 10 and 11. If the 50 amp fuse is in position 11 the outlet is always on if it is in position 10 it is switched with the key. Thanks for the help with this.
