Lane assist system problems 2015 LTZ

My 2015 LTZ has the lane assist. It worked like a charm until a few days ago, when the system started beeping at me instead of vibrating the drivers seat. I checked the setting, it is set to seat. Now, sometimes I get a very weak vibration and other times I get a beep (while all the time the seat vibration setting is selected).

I don't use the lane assist function. I honestly don't know what the benefit is.

Does your seat still vibrate when you back up too close to something? Or when you go under a bridge and the shadow tricks the forward collision system?

My 2014 LTZ did the exact same thing. I brought it to the dealer. It showed a code. They replaced a shorted vibrator in the seat. Sorry I can't find receipt for details. Bring it in. Mine was set to vibrate too when it started to beep.

Makes sense that it would resort to beeping if it knew one of the seat vibrators was bad.

Did it vibrate for one side and beep for the other?

(might be interesting to check before it goes to the dealer.)

I'm pretty sure it beeped for going over either line. It also started to beep for the parking assist when you got too close to something . You wouldn't think that had anything to do with it. Since it threw a code, they had no trouble finding the problem.
