Would party till late and feel like crap all day Monday.(1) Friday and Saturday nights people have better things to do(2) league and Teams can party Friday and Saturday (3) Businesses like Bars, Restaurants and Hotels will make more money on a long weekend (4) I Googled why Super Bowl always on Sunday

As I understand it, they want to give the host city the most bang for their buck. If SuperBowl were to be played Saturday night for instance, people would leave town Sunday morning.

Playing the game Sunday night means hotels, restaurants, and attractions get another day of traffic.

Now you might say, "If the game were Saturday night people would arrive in town a day earlier." According to some nebulous study somewhere, it would not effect the day people arrive.

No idea if this is really true and don't remember where I heard this. But I do know that it sucks on Sunday night. :tear:
