Seat Issue

Hello.

I did search the forum, but I didn't find anything specific to my issue concerning the passenger seat. I know what it is...the metal bar underneath that is attached to the seat adjustment has play in it, and when no one is sitting in the seat, that bar rattles going over bumps. Is that normal? Warranty? Easy DIY fix? Just wondering if anyone else has had the issue.

Truck is a 2015 Silverado Crew Cab.

Thanks.

Yup, this one has been going on for a while, but not specific to "passenger seat". I searched Seat Movement and found 3 or 4 threads with all kinds of seat movement issues, but here is the main one. There is a TSB out to fix loose seat brackets...

Ah, I searched vibration, rattle, etc. Thanks for the link, Sir!

No problem. I remembered reading the thread some time ago.

My passenger seat had a squeak to it when going over any type of bump. I forgot what part the dealership ordered, but it was fixed under the bumper to bumper warranty. I have the receipt in the truck, so I can post the name of the part later.

Well, from what I can tell that thread relates to driver side only. Maybe the fix will work for my passenger side, too. I am going to call the dealer.

The track mechanism is the same for both...should work for both...

The fix for the seat movement has been basically temporary. Several guys have had this done more than once at the dealer. There's a cheap fix that's a diy, You'll see it in that main thread.
