I installed the program a couple of weeks ago. It did as advertised. It works at part throttle. It certainly has more power and shifts firmer. I have a Magnaflow cat back installed as well. Gas mileage has dropped 1mpg but i have been punching it. My guess is if the wife drives it and I leave it alone for a week, the mileage is about the same. But it sure does run better. well worth the money.

Very interested in this, and a few questions for you:

1. I've read where you change the stock fuel curves and ignition timing to run on 91 to 93 high-octane fuel. Does that mean you can't run any lower than that, such as 89 octane, or do you just get the maximum benefits from running 91 to 93 octane?

2. Do you have an option to select different shift firmness setting for auto trannys? I think I read somewhere that you don't have an option to NOT have the shift firmness, is that true?

3. Can adjustments be made for different size tires and gears? I'm assuming you can, but want to make sure.

So, you can definately tell there is an increase in the low end (part throttle) performance?

I'll chime in. I can tell a noticeable difference, but my guess is it would be even more noticeable if my truck were more like stock. I can tell the gains at mid-rpm ranges, but WOT is where I've noticed the most improvement. It shifts firmer and I think it also shifts at higher rpms. I paid $315 inc. S&H from systech.com Ask for Daniel.

I read the manual a few times, and I think the premium fuel you're talking about is 'needed' w/ the Hypertech, not SC. I can't remember if you have the option of shift firmness or not.

Yes, one of the main reasons I bought the SC is to correct for my 36" tall tires and soon to be 4.56 gears.

Definitely a good mod - it really helps when towing the boats or trailers.
