Which tune are you running and why? For the diablew tune guys, was there a noticeable difference between custom and canned? Let me know for both tcm and ecm, been running through the tunes on mine, curious to what evereone else has used

Using the diablo higher octane performance ecm tune. No tm, line pressure all the way up and changed shift points on tcm tune. Raised speed limiter and adjusted for taller tires.

I'm running the Diablo tune , TM off , dod off, firm shift , throttle boost 15%. It's night and day from stock drivability. Just waiting for my CAI and exhaust to be delivered then doing a diablew tune .

Just curious, aren't you guys worried about if your truck needs warranty work? I put bigger rims and tires and want to do a tune but the people in my area prefer not to do them on my truck because it voids all warranty work.

Thanks

I have a DiabLew tune and I run E85. The only complaint I had with the canned tune was the transmission. It was either too slow or too harsh, I couldn't find the right median in the settings. I told DiabLew about that specifically and he offered a tune with a much smoother TCM that made the truck feel like it was shifting correctly with the amount of power it was pushing. I'd say the DiabLew ECM/TCM tune was well worth the money. Like a whole new truck, again!

And then there is me. I plugged my intune into my truck and it wouldn't start afterward. Then the "Tech Support" sent me some files and I loaded them and it all failed and happened again, but the second time I couldn't return it to stock without emailing back and forth with "Tech support" for half the day to get my truck running. Never buying a handheld again. Going full custom tune if I ever do.

do you run E85 100% of the time? can run other grades of gas, 87 or higher, without reprogramming? just wondering to you pull a trailer?

I run E85 all the time with the exception of road trips, I fill up with 93 because it gets better mileage. Since it's the sport tune, I don't think it's recommended to run lower octane fuel. The truck computer automatically detects whether its E85 or gasoline for fuel injection reasons, so you don't have to worry about swapping between the two, or mixing, the truck is designed to handle all of it. I pull a trailer a hand full of times each year. As E85 has higher torque and hp ratings, I imagine it would be easier to pull running that fuel, but you'll get poorer mileage. But here in Texas, E85 is around $1.4* ish range, cheaper than most gasoline, so it pretty much evens out cost wise.

I guess im the only one running the TM on, i am also running hard shift program. I have a heavy foot and just wasnt comfortable with no TM

Same complaint here, the shifts are firm, but its still not to my liking. Sending Lew some money tomorrow..

We have two trucks. physically the same setup. we bought a Diablew tune for one and just ran a modified canned tune in the other. we decided the canned tunes had a better overall feel and better gas mileage.

Has anyone adjusted any of the more advanced parameters available on the advanced tune section?
