Blend door actuator messing up blower?

A few weeks ago I replaced the mode door actuator since it wasn't always going through all the positions. I'd be driving along and suddenly I wouldn't get air flow out of any vent positions and would have to shut the truck down for a few minutes and restart. Once I replaced the actuator it will now cycle through all the positions (on the actuator), however I occasionally still have the issue of the blower is working but won't come out of any vent positions. I confirmed the new mode actuator is still cycling through all positions. It tends to mess up after making adjustments to the temperature knob. I do know the temp actuator makes quite a bit of noise when it goes through it cycle (hot to cold and reverse). So the question is would the temp actuator cause this kind of issue with the blower?

 

I need to confirm, the best I can, that this is the problem before I spend another $50 on parts that may not fix the issue. The temp positions seem to work just fine even when the blower messes up but I'm really not sure what else would cause this issue with the blower.

Got it figured out...sort of. My AC is messing up as when the blower air flow gives out I can snap off the AC and the air flow comes back. Now to get the AC figured out...leaving that one to a pro.

FWIW you may want to check and see if you don't have another actuator that is going bad. My 04 has three of them as I have the dual zone climate control.

Thanks, the only other actuator I was thinking was the one for the temperature. It makes a lot of noise when I adjust the temp, however it's seems to be working just fine. My is the only the single zone so I don't think I have any other actuators, other then temp.

I believe you have a blend and door actuator the one near pedal works the mode (vent, defrost, feet, etc) the passenger side one controls the temp, hope that helps. I'm having the same issue now with the mode one, not looking forward to replacing, read its a pia.
