Spacing for FXR into OEM Projector

I finally gathered all my parts for an FXR retro. I ordered the fastheadlights spacer kit as well but its in a USPS shipping loop for a week now. Usps can't offer any help. I emailed fastheadlights but didn't get a response.

Being that this entire project is sprawled out on my dining room and my truck has been without headlights for a week I'm looking to wrap this up.

My question. I've read about using spacers or washers when mounting the fxrs. Does anyone happen to have a picture of this? I test fit the projectors but it seems like I would need a lot of spacers. They're not really flush anywhere.

Just guessing and it's been a month or so since I put mine in. I'd start with about 3/8" of space on the bottom holes of the projector and go from there. I didn't put any spacers in the top.
